Where in the World is ZayZoon? A Q1 Event Recap

If you know anything about the crew at ZayZoon, you know there's nothing we love more than hitting the road and visiting our partners, clients, and customers in person.

From happy hours to panel discussions to creative booth activations, the ZayZoon team can always be counted on to show up – and show out – at conferences!

Here’s a quick recap of the Q1 Partner and industry events that we feel fortunate to have been able to support within our Payroll and HCM community.

Mize - Aprio

Over the last few years, ZayZoon has been a proud sponsor of the Mize Annual Finance Meeting, and we’re always so grateful to spend time with the Owners & Operators of the McDonald’s franchises we support. Along with getting to work with a world-class group at Mize CPAs, now part of Aprio, they also pick amazing destinations for their annual event. This year was in Hawaii, and there may have been an internal arm wrestle to decide who got to go. Aloha!

The QSR industry faces many challenges, including high turnover, absenteeism, and an overall labor shortage.

But the experts at Mize are always looking for meaningful ways to better support their clients, including through the benefits offered, like ZayZoon. As a no-cost benefit that franchisees can leverage to attract and retain talent while also supporting the financial well-being of their employees, we’ve supported hundreds of McDonald’s workers.

That’s a win/win in our books. And yes, I’ll have fries with that.

AxisCare Evolve Conference

If you work in the home care space, you know the name - and reputation - of AxisCare, which is continuously recognized as the #1 industry leader when it comes to time and attendance technology for the industry.

The team made their way down to Austin, TX, to join our wonderful partners at AxisCare and speak with their customers about the power of giving home care workers financial flexibility - and how it’s a great way to have workers pick up more shifts.

This isn’t our first rodeo! Well, technically, it was as this was AxisCare’s inaugural event, but you know what we mean 🏇

IPPA Spring Summit

If you work in leadership at a Payroll company, the IPPA Spring Summit is an annual event you really can’t afford to miss.

So much can change in a short period of time when it comes to compliance, standards, and trends. The IPPA board does a fantastic job of scheduling educational sessions to deep-dive into what’s impacting the payroll industry and how you can stay on the cutting edge of it, learning from seasoned professionals and experts in the field. There is also a real sense of community at this event, so the open discussions and round-tables with your peers are truly worth the investment.

Did I forget to mention the networking opportunities? You can always catch ZayZoon sponsoring a happy hour with our friends from Swipeclock, PosterElite, Selerix, and e-Comp. It’s no gamble when it comes to this group - you’re always in for a fun time!

ADP Elite Summit & Top Producer's Club

Our team was lucky to hit up not one but two sponsored ADP events in Q1.

As a top ADP Marketplace Partner, we’re always excited to get out on the road and see our ADP rep friends in person at an event or training.

Ryan and Nick joined the ADP HRO sales team in Deer Valley, UT, for the ADP Elite Summit to show our appreciation to these champions and continue collaborating to build more engaged workplaces to financially empower their clients’ workers.

Next up, Chelsea and Gary hit the road for the ADP Top Producers Club to connect with current friends and make new ones along the way!

Restaurant Franchising & Innovation Summit

If you’re a restaurant executive or franchisee and haven’t attended a Fast Casual conference before, you’re seriously missing out.

Our very own Tate Hackert commanded the main stage during the “Inspiration for Today’s Restaurant Leaders” general session at the Restaurant Franchising & Innovation Summit, where he was joined by the CEO of Wahlburgers and Co-Founder of Jeff’s Bagel Run. The audience walked away with transformative ways to drive engagement, adapt AI into their business, and think outside the box to become an innovative QSR chain.

Midwest Tour

If you follow us on LinkedIn, and why wouldn't you be, you probably got nostalgic when you saw ZayZooners hop into a branded van and tour the Midwest.

It brought many of us back to the good ol’ days of our Payday, Are We There Yet? RV Tour. Side note: I think our ultimate goal is to get Tanner into smaller and smaller vehicles, gradually. Next up: the ZayZoon-branded golf cart! I kid, I kid.

Our good friends at ASAP Payroll welcomed us to their client appreciation event, where we got a chance to enjoy cocktails and conversations about how they are driving engagement, challenges they see in the industry, and what truly adds value for them and their team.

We also had the chance to visit our partners at TruPay, Candoor, and Ahola to share laughs, donuts, and educational materials to help support their clients.

These visits don’t just let us show our appreciation and spread awareness; they allow us to hear live feedback and suggestions from those who rely on and connect to our app so we can continue to improve our experience - and continue to be the industry leader when it comes to support, innovation, and ease-of-use.
